Worker Accused of Stealing Hundreds of Pieces of Mail at Grafton Post Office

Grafton police arrested a man they say stole hundreds of pieces of mail while working at the Grafton Post Office.

A Grafton man faces charges after an investigation revealed he allegedly stole hundreds of pieces of mail while working at the Grafton Post Office.

John T. Derry, 21, 220 Providence Road, Grafton, will be arraigned on Oct. 8 in Westborough District Court on charges of larceny from a building, larceny of property totaling more than $250, receiving property more than $250.

Working with special agents from the United States Postal Service and the Office of the Inspector General, Grafton police participated in a joint investigation into the reported theft.

According to police, the U.S. Postal Service has identified potential victims who have processed mail through the Grafton Post Office’s Upton Street facility and may have been affected by these thefts.

Identified victims will receive written correspondence from the Postal Service seeking information regarding items of value that may have been stolen during this time frame.
