Where/When: Birch Plains Field, Cabot Street and Lp Henderson Road, Beverly, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13

Why Go: Join the Friends of the Wenham Council on Aging, Wenham Council on Aging, the Hamilton-Wenham Recreation Department and Beverly Recreation Department and fly a kite. There will also be refreshments by Something Different Café.

Pricing: Kite kits are $5; spectators can watch for free

Where/When: , 132 Main St., Wenham, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily

Why Go: The display is in its final days. Head over to the museum to see American model ships of war – from the Civil War to today.

Pricing: Adults $7.50, children $5.50

Where/When: , 435 Bay Road, South Hamilton, gate opens at 1:30 p.m.; match begins at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14

Why Go: Enjoy the chance to watch polo at the Maryland Tournament. There is free parking. Bring a lunch. 

Pricing: Adults $10; children under 12 free

Where/When: , 15 Walnut Road, South Hamilton, 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, Aug. 14

Why Go: Check out cool cars and talk to their owners.

Pricing: Free


Where/When: 14 Union St., South Hamilton, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13

Why Go: The Battle-Gaming of Massachusetts meets to play strategy games, such as Lord of the Rings and Warhammer 40,000.

Pricing: Free. New members are welcome.
