Bryn Smith of Hamilton to Appear in THE SOUND OF MUSIC at North Shore Music Theatre

12-year old Bryn Smith of South Hamilton has been cast in North Shore Music Theatre’s (NSMT) production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.  Maggie will be playing the role of ‘Brigita’ in the professional production that will run June 11 – June 23.

No stranger to the role, Bryn recently played ‘Brigita’ in the Community House Theatre’s production of “The Sound of Music” directed by Myriam Cyr.  She has also performed in numerous productions directed by Peter Stewart.  In addition to theater, Bryn also sings locally with her band Black Diamond.  She will be entering seventh grade in the fall at Miles River Middle School.

One of the world's most beloved musicals, THE SOUND OF MUSIC is directed by James Brennan.  When a novice nun proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain.  The show's finale is one of the most thrilling and inspirational ever presented in the theatre.
