Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID is a beautiful love story for the ages. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above and bargains with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs.

"I'm hopeful that our audience can experience the magic of this classic story in a whole new light. Staging this production has been a terrific challenge. Our new seating arrangement ensures that no one is further than 20 feet from the stage. Proximity to the action is really important. With this new set up, we have gone from 12 first and second row seats to 38 first, and 42 second row seats bringing the intimacy of our space and storytelling to a whole new level." Jay Pension, Stage 284’s Little Mermaid Director

"This has been such a fun and collaborative process! The adults and children in the cast bring so much to the table at each rehearsal. Working in an environment with both child and adult actors is so rewarding. Having grown up with Disney's The Little Mermaid, it's been especially fun to see it through the eyes of our younger cast members, many of whom are experiencing this story for the first time."
