No, we’re not telling you to bug off - we’re serious. Archie Stewart brings his popular kite tour to our area on Saturday at Birch Plains Fields in Beverly, which is off Route 97 near the entrance to Beverly Airport, just south of the Wenham townline.
Plus, there’s another edition of the multicultural storytime from “Up With People” and Gloucester has its annual August event – the Waterfront Festival.

Where/When: Birch Plains Field, North Beverly; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go:Kite Day, which is co-hosted by the Wenham Council on Aging, has become an increasingly popular event. Build and fly a kite or just watch.
Pricing: $5 per person to build a kite, free to watch
2. GLOUCESTER WATERFRONT FESTIVAL
Where/When: Stage Fort Park; Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Why Go: The Gloucester Waterfront Festival is a summertime tradition at Stage Fort Park, where crafters and a clambake are al part of the fun.
Pricing: Free Admission, Parking Charge in Some Areas
3. TOPSFIELD FARMER’S MARKET
Where/When: Topsfield Fairgrounds; Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go: There’s no farmer’s market here in Hamilton and Wenham. And during the week there’s farmer’s markets in Beverly, Gloucester and Salem, for example. But right next door in Topsfield, here’s a chance to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and other fresh goods on a Saturday morning.

4. NIGHTINGALE INN ESTATE TAG SALE
Where/When: Nightingale Inn; Saturday, 9 a.m.
Why Go: There's many items from the Nightingale Inn that will be for sale all weekend - including furniture, rugs, electronics and household items.

5. MULTICULTURAL STORYTIME
Where/When: Hamilton-Wenham Library; Saturday, 11 a.m.
Why Go: In advance of the Up With People show in early September, the promotions representatives are hosting all sorts of activities in the two towns. And one of those in an ongoing storytime series at the library. This week, Malin Wiberg tells stories from her native Sweden.
