Local Gas Prices Stay Above State Average as Prices Creep Downward
Three out of the four local gas stations are above the state average for gas prices.

Gas prices continue to drop across Massachusetts as well as here in the two towns.
Statewide, a gallon of regular self-serve gas is down four more cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s survey of prices in Massachusetts released Monday said a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded averaged $3.59 per gallon.

Locally, gas price dropped by an average of one cent in the past week. The least expensive gallon of gas is selling for the statewide average - $3.59 - at G & M Motors in Hamilton, which is full-serve.
At Oliver Gulf and Hamilton Convenience, a gallon was selling for $3.63 on Monday. At Fallon's Auto in Wenham, which is full-serve, a gallon of regular is $3.89.

The statewide average is 4 cents lower than the nationwide average of $3.63.
During the first week of April last year, the Massachusetts average price was $3.79, according to AAA. Locally, it was $3.81 at that time.
