There's some work happening in one of teh open retail space along Bay Road in Hamilton.

There's some work happening in one of the handful of open retail spaces in downtown Hamilton.
There's been a retail space open at 28 Bay Road for several month. Right now, about $500 worth of work is happening to do some demolition in the space by the building's owner, Joe Leone, according to Hamilton town records. But there's no known plan for a new tenant in the space.
Most recently, it was home to Country Crossroads Realty, which closed the office last year.

Before that, it was home to Taylor Danielle Spa, which moved into the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing. In 2007, Taylor Danielle was featured in a Boston Magazine "Neighborhood Watch" about South Hamilton village, naming it as a top spot to get a mani-pedi, chemical peels or massage.
After the real estate office closed, neighbor Jolie Tea Co. has expressed interest is expanding next door and adding a small cafe. But that would have required more spectic system capacity, something that was not available from the building's existing septic system.

So any new use for the space would likely involve low septic use. Previously, Hamilton-Wenham Patch users have suggested the space would be best for a take-out bakery, hair salon, consignment store or health food store.
