4 Hingham Parents Accused Of Allowing Underage Drinking
Hingham police said one of the parties including 40 to 50 teenagers who were drinking.
HINGHAM, MA — Police have filed criminal complaints against four Hingham parents, accused of allowing underage drinking at two separate house parties. The charges include violations of the "Social Host Law."
Around 10:36 p.m., Saturday police were called to a party on Blue Sky Dive, following a noise complaint. Police said when they arrived, they heard people in the backyard yelling. "Cops are here," and saw 40 to 50 teenagers jump a fence and run into the woods and neighbors' yards. Other ran into the house, according to police.
Police said beer cans and bottles were scattered throughout the backyard. When the homeowners spoke to police, they admitted to allowing the teenagers to drink at their house, but said it was only supposed to be a few.

Police said more teens were found hiding in the basement and in closets. All the teens located were between the ages of 16 and 19. Police called the teens' parents to pick them up.
Later that night, around 11:30 p.m., police were called to a house on Colonial road for reports of a loud party. When police arrived, they said they saw several teens ages 15 to 19, dozens of beer cans, and a table set up for beer pong. Police said the teens ran into the woods. Police said they spoke with the parents, who were both home, along with other adults. Officers located some of the teens, and released them to their parents.

The parents at each house will be charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and disturbing the peace. The charges will be filed in Hingham District Court. The names of the parents were not disclosed.
