HINGHAM, MA — A longtime Massachusetts-based donut chain has officially expanded to the South Shore and is offering free goods to celebrate its opening.
Union Square Donuts debuted its latest location at Derby Street Shops in Hingham on Wednesday. The donut shop, which got its start in Somerville, is known for its fresh dough and variety of glazes, jams and toppings.
The Derby Street location will offer a mix of favorites and new creations, including Brown Butter Hazelnut, Honey Glazed, Sea Salt Whiskey Caramel and Boston Cream, along with vegan options.
The shop will also serve drip coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, lattes, matcha, and seasonal specialty drinks.
Union Square Donuts is hosting grand-opening festivities from Friday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 13.
Throughout the weekend, each in-shop purchase will come with a Union Square Donuts scratch ticket, and every ticket is a winner.
Prizes include free donuts, cinnamon rolls, drinks, and donut holes, along with Union Square Donuts tote bags, beanies, and T-shirts.
"We're incredibly excited to officially become part of the South Shore community and to open our doors at Derby Street Shops," said Noah Danoff, co-founder of Union Square Donuts. "We can't wait to meet our new neighbors and start making donut and coffee memories together. The timing couldn't be sweeter with apple cider donut and pumpkin spice latte season kicking off, it feels like the perfect time to welcome everyone into our new Hingham shop."
Union Square Donuts is joining a variety of stores at Derby Street Shops, including Apple, Barnes & Noble, J.Crew, Pottery Barn, and Sephora, among many others. The donut shop will be located at 84 Derby St., next to Crate & Barrel.
