Why do you support Taste of Hingham?

Jim Hodgdon:   Caffe Tosca supports the Taste of Hingham because of the number of charities who benefit from this effort.  It is also a great day to bring the community together for a celebration; the kids have so much fun! When ‘The Taste’ was on North St., it was right outside my office, and the noise coming from the street was such a  joy. The sun was shining, kids were laughing, people were talking and dancing, and the band was playing. It brought a smile to my face.  What a perfect day!

What is your favorite part about owning and running Caffe Tosca, and serving the Hingham community?

Jim Hodgdon:  Caffe Tosca has been part of the Hingham community since 2004.  My favorite part is the relationships that have been brought together with this community and the staff at Caffe Tosca.

Can you tell us something interesting about Caffe Tosca?

Jim Hodgdon: We have a couple of ‘new’ things going on at Caffe Tosca...we open for lunch on May 24th, we are open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the summer.  Also, due to the success of the restaurant we have decided to stay open 7 days a week. 

Why do people keep coming back? What great feedback do you get from your customers?

Jim Hodgdon: Having Chris Jule at the front door is one of the biggest reasons people keep coming back!  He is professional, knowledgeable, and customers enjoy talking to him.  Also, introducing a new menu by Chef Jose Filho about 1.5 years ago has a lot to do with it.  He created a menu that is much bigger than before. This has given the customers more options and they are able to have something different every time they come in for dinner.
