Delayed Opening Monday After Hingham High School Fire
No one was injured in the Friday morning fire, but classes are cancelled.

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham High School will re-open Monday following an electrical fire, which closed the high school Friday. The school will open on a delayed schedule, with classes beginning at 10 a.m. No one was injured in the fire, which fire officials said was contained to one room on the second floor and extinguished quickly.
The fire shutdown the school's power and contaminated the school with smoke, leading to classes being canceled for the day. AP exams scheduled for Friday were canceled, Superintendent Dorothy Galo said.
"There is a need for cleanup and we cannot occupy the building today," Galo said in a message sent to parents. "We will appreciate everyone’s cooperation in staying away from the HS building to allow the needed cleanup."
