Hingham Man Charged with Selling Heroin Out of His Home

HINGHAM, MA — A Hingham man faces charges or selling heroin from his home, police said.

Nicholas W. Webster, 36, was arrested by the Hingham Police Department on July 19. He was arraigned later that day in Hingham District Court and charged with possession of heroin, Suboxone, Clonidine, and Gabapentin with intent to distribute; two counts of receiving stolen property over $250; and possession of a lost/stolen credit card with intent to use. He is being held on $1,000 cash bail.

On July 19 at 10 a.m., detectives in Hingham and members of the Old Colony Police Anti-Crime Task Force served a search warrant at 19 Planters Field Ln. in Hingham, police said. Webster allegedly left the house through the basement bulkhead and was arrested without incident.

During a search of his house, police allegedly found heroin, Suboxone film, Gabapentin, packaging materials, plastic baggies, a digital scale, three cell phones, two stolen credit cards, a stolen Massachusetts medical license with the name scratched out, a black Airsoft semi-automatic pistol with a magazine, a gun holster, and a police badge with the Massachusetts state seal in the center. Police say the badge was affixed to a badge holder with a lanyard similar to those commonly worn around the neck of plainclothes police officers.

Following his arraignment, Webster was transported to the Plymouth County House of Correction and will return to court on Aug. 18.
