According to court documents, police were first alerted to the incident after responding to the injured victim at South Shore Hospital at 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 11. The victim told police that a group of males texted him and his friends and taunted them into a fight. When the male and his friends arrived at the intersection of Tower Brook Road and Main Street, the other group arrived with two cars. A group of males with bats and knives exited the first car and the two sides started arguing. During the altercation, the other car drove at the male, striking him before reversing back into him.

Investigators determined that tire marks at the scene and on the victim’s pants were consistent with the victim’s story and a witness was able to produce an identical story. The witness also noted that the driver was female.

A description of the car matched the 1994 green Hyundai Excel owned by Langton, which was confirmed to be at her home by Marshfield police. When officers first went to the house, Langton refused to speak, telling police that she was not in Hingham and the damage on her car was old. Police later returned to arrest Langton after believing they had enough probable cause to make an arrest.

During the booking process, it was noted in the police report that Langton was emotionless, showing no response or emotion to the charges.

Langton is due back on Court on Dec. 7.
