Hingham Student Held in Iran Coming Home
Matthew Trevithick was released after being held captive by Iran for 40 days.

A Hingham native is coming home after being held for 40 days in Iran.
Matthew Trevithick was released in a move unrelated to a prisoner swap involving four captured Americans.
“We are profoundly grateful to all those who worked for his release and are happy for all the families whose loved ones are also heading home,” Trevithick’s mother Amelia Newcomb and stepfather Scott Armstrong said in a statement according to CBS Boston.
