Hingham Unites as Search for Missing Marine Continues

Sunday, rescue workers continued to search for USMC Corporal Christopher Orlando and 11 other Marines gone missing in Hawaii.

While searchers continue to look for a Hingham marine gone missing after a helicopter collision in Hawaii, residents and town officials have pulled together to show their support.

Over the weekend, the town’s Facebook page said the community can honor the service of USMC Corporal Christopher Orlando by raising a blue star banner. The banner, which features an inverted star pointing down, signifies a missing man according to the town.

“We, along with the entire nation, are following this search and rescue (SAR) as it develops,” the Facebook posts reads.
