Dharma Dreams Vocational Center

Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is a nonprofit vocational and life skills program based in Hanover, Massachusetts, serving young adults ages 18–26 with moderate cognitive disabilities. Our mission is to help students build practical job skills in the trades, confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and workplace readiness through hands-on vocational training and supportive learning experiences. The program was created in response to the growing need for meaningful transition opportunities for young adults as they move beyond high school and into adulthood. Many families struggle to find programs that combine practical workforce preparation, life skills development, communication skills, confidence-building, and supportive real-world learning experiences. Dharma Dreams offers hands-on exposure to vocational areas such as landscaping and grounds maintenance, painting and surface preparation, workplace professionalism, entrepreneurship basics, and life skills training. Students also learn mind-body techniques that support focus, confidence, emotional regulation, stress management, and workplace success. Our introductory summer program, launching at the end of July, is designed to help students and families become familiar with the program and explore vocational interests before participating in longer-term programming. Long-term programming focuses on helping students develop greater independence, workplace readiness, responsibility, confidence, and practical trade skills through structured, hands-on learning experiences. Dharma Dreams Vocational Center aims to create supportive pathways toward greater independence, meaningful employment opportunities, and a stronger sense of purpose while helping young adults feel valued, capable, and connected to their future potential.

Hingham's newest restaurant will not only  bring clams, calamari and cocktails to the Derby Street Shoppes, but it will also bring a new bar-centric experience. The new restaurant has made renovations to the Derby Street space which includes designs inspired from the tools and equipment used in the fishing industry, according to Lindsay Rotondi, a media spokeswoman for the company.  "The canopy over the bar is reminiscent of a lobster trap and a sea of hanging ropes serve as lighting over the communal tables," Rotondi said in an email.  "It is a bar-centric experience, but the open floor plan is visually zoned so guests can choose to be 'in the action' or at the periphery in more intimate seating divided by glass and steel room dividers." The Legal C Bar will be opening next to the Barnes &amp; Noble in late May.  The Hingham space will  have 195 seats in their 6,500 square feet space. From Legal Sea Foods, Legal C Bar emerges as "a focused yet full-flavored social urban venue, casual in style," according to the restaurant's website. The Derby Street location will be the company's third Legal C Bar.  The other locations are at Legacy Place in Dedham and Terminal B at the Logan Airport.  With their opening approaching,  Legal C Bar is now hiring.
