Croí Health says the change recognizes the couple's philanthropy and long support for hospice and palliative care across 27 South Shore communities, including Hingham families who rely on the residence.
   

4. 5 for Good: Hingham teen collects shoes to help children (wcvb.com) — A Hingham teen, Maggie Driscoll, is closing in on her goal of collecting 10,000 pairs of shoes for children in need, with donation bins at local schools, businesses, and senior centers. Partnering with Soles4Souls as its Massachusetts ambassador, she's also raising funds through October for the 4EveryKid program, which provides new shoes and socks to children experiencing homelessness.
   

5. Mayor Charged With Assaulting 17-Year-Old Over Alleged Inappropriate Touching (ledger-enquirer.com) — Residents should know that a Massachusetts mayor accused of assaulting a 17-year-old band member at a Brockton parade is scheduled to be arraigned at Hingham District Court on September 28. The case, based on police reports, video evidence, and witness interviews, has drawn regional attention as the longtime Brockton official faces assault and battery charges he disputes.
