South Shore Conservatory Announces Open Registration For Spring Classes

A variety of arts enrichment opportunities are available in age appropriate offerings.

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) is currently holding spring registration for a wide range of enrichment classes in music, movement and drama for students of all ages. Spring semester begins for most classes on February 1.

The focus of their spring offerings is on creative programming for adult students. New classes for adults include Tuesday Night Records: Jazz Appreciation starting January 12, Bluegrass Jam starting February 2 and Intro to Drama Improvisation starting February 6.

In addition to the classes listed above, the following classes are offered for students ages 0 to 9: Music Sprouts, Drum & Sing, Time Train, Tot Yoga, Creative Dance, Hip Hop, Piano FUNdamentals, Primo Voice Class, Curtain Going Up and Let’s Put on a Show! starting the week of February 1. Music Together® has rolling admission for its winter session with immediate openings available in many classes.

Classes for students age 10 to 18 include: Mezzo Voice Class, Group Guitar Class for ages 10 and up, Fiddle Class, Rock Band, Pop Rock Vocal Tech, Let’s Put on a Show and Saturday Stage Club.

Ongoing classes for adults include Golden Voices, Woman Song, SSC Community Voices, Adult Rock Band, Adult Jazz Workshop, and Intro to Ballet, as well as introductory group classes in violin, guitar and piano.

Classes are offered at both South Shore Conservatory campuses. The Hingham campus is located at One Conservatory Drive, Hingham. The Duxbury campus is located at The Ellison Center for the Arts, 64 St. George Street, Duxbury.
