Spotlight shines on SSC's newest faculty members
South Shore Conservatory’s renowned Conservatory Concert Series (CCS) starts its 2016/17 season with SSC Debuts, a concert showcasing the Conservatory’s newest superstar faculty members, Sunday, October 16, 4 pm at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham.
CCS concerts showcase the varied talents of the Conservatory’s faculty of almost 100 educator/performers. In an effort to expand access to arts education and performance, SSC does not charge admission to these concerts.
SSC Debuts performers present music they love while introducing themselves to the SSC community and friends. Prior to their performance, each faculty member will speak briefly about their musical journey and their chosen selections. This year’s diverse repertoire includes vocal music from Schubert and Faure, a marimba solo composed by Eric Sammut, lively fiddle music, and some classical trumpet, violin, piano and French horn.
