South Shore Conservatory's Wacky Wednesdays Family Concert Series Presents Keith Munslow

Arts, literacy and engagement are at the heart of his performances

South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Wacky Wednesdays family concert series welcomes Keith Munslow to the Jane Carr Amphitheater, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham, on July 6 at 10 am. This is the second of five family-friendly Wednesday morning concerts this summer.

Wacky Wednesdays is one of two series in the Conservatory’s diverse Summer Spotlight outdoor summer entertainment series, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this season. The family series is sponsored by the Harold and Avis Goldstein Trust, with WATD as the media partner. Summer Spotlight also includes Evenings Under the Stars Saturday evening concerts.

A Wacky Wednesdays favorite, Keith Munslow has entertained thousands of children and adults at festivals and concerts throughout New England. His numerous recordings for children and families include Accidentally On Purpose, and Dressed Up for the Party, both of which garnered Parents’ Choice Awards and national radio play. Keith’s newest album, Tiny Destroyer, features stories and songs reflecting the chaos and humor of everyday family life.

Keith performs with the New Orleans-flavored blues band, Superchief Trio, and in a hilarious duo show with GRAMMY Award-winning performer Bill Harley. Their joint album It’s Not Fair to Me (2013) gained wide acclaim. Together, the duo also performs an annual benefit show for the Rhode Island Food Bank.

Other performances in the Wacky Wednesdays family concert series include Little Groove on July 13; Boston-based children’s singer-songwriter Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys on July 20; and Grammy-nominated Zak Morgan on July 27.
