SSC Community Voices Choruses Present Annual Spring Concert

South Shore Conservatory’s SSC Community Voices and SSC Community Voices Too! choruses present their spring concert on Sunday, May 21, 4 pm at Inly School, 46 Watch Hill Drive, Scituate.

SSC Community Voices and SSC Community Voices Too! are non-auditioned choruses that provide joyful ensemble singing and performance opportunities to over 60 adults and young adults. These choruses are funded by the Cordelia Family Foundation.

SSC Community Voices is directed by board certified music therapists Eve Montague and Amanda Goff, with accompaniment by Grace Low. The Hingham-based group “Too!” is directed by board certified music therapists Emily Browder Melville and Kari O’Briant, and accompanied by student pianist Jennifer Boyd. Both ensembles begin their next session in September and welcome new singers and peer mentors. Music and instruction is adapted to accommodate all levels of ability.

This combined spring concert features songs about seasons, including Try To Remember from the Fantastics, Morning Has Broken, You Are The Sunshine Of My Life, and Saturday In The Park.

SSC is grateful to Inly Head of School, Donna Milani Luther and the entire Inly School community for the use of their beautiful performance space.

South Shore Conservatory thanks the Cordelia Family Foundation for their underwriting of SSC Community Voices choruses. Their generous gift allows South Shore Conservatory to offer these inclusive choruses for a nominal amount per semester, removing the financial barrier of entry and making it accessible for all.

The May 21 concert is free and open to the public. Audience members are invited to join the chorus members for a complimentary reception following the concert.
