SSC's Summer Spotlight Series Culminates in Song
Grammy Nominee Zak Morgan and SSC's gifted voice faculty end season
The celebratory 20th anniversary season of South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Summer Spotlight culminates with family favorite Grammy® Award nominee Zak Morgan performing engaging songs for adults and children on Wednesday, July 27, 10 am. SSC’s beloved voice faculty are featured in a season-ending cabaret-style night bringing familiar musical show tunes to life in A Grand Night for Singing: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein on Saturday, July 30, at 7 pm. All performances take place in the Jane Carr Amphitheater, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham.
Zak Morgan is known for his humorous stories and sophisticated yet accessible wordplay, with the ability to connect with audience members young and old alike. His interactive concerts are playful and touching, always authentic and heartwarming. Morgan is funny, kind, unique and unguarded in his performances, and audience members leave the show feeling like they made a new friend, regardless of their age.
Morgan has released three critically acclaimed records and one DVD for children, and was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award in 2003 – a rare feat for an independent artist, and is working on his fourth. He is also a huge proponent of literacy.
