On March 2 at 1:26 a.m., K9 Officer Ryan Ross was monitoring traffic on Main Street when he conducted a registration check on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata that was traveling south on Main Street. After learning that the car was reported stolen in Worcester several hours earlier. After Ross followed the vehicle and signaled to the driver to pull over, the car allegedly pulled to the right side of the road briefly before speeding away.
