Two Charged With Selling Fentanyl To Undercover Hingham Officer
Police said Pablo, a K9 unit, helped officers find two more containers filled with drugs under the car's dashboard and center console.

HINGHAM, MA — Two men were arrested after police said the men sold fetanyl to an undercover police officer.
On Nov. 20, an officer wearing plain clothes met two men in a secluded area on Fottler Road. Police said the officer bought a bag of what police suspected was heroin or fentanyl.
Michael Cruz-Perez, 30, of Mattapan, and Jason Belmarsh, of Hull, were initially charged with distributing a class A substance and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, but additional charges are expected after police used a police dog to search the suspects' car. Police said Pablo, a K9 unit, helped officers find two more containers filled with drugs under the car's dashboard and center console.

One container, according to police had seven bags of powered and crack cocaine inside. The other had another eight bags of cocaine. In total, 13 grams of cocaine were seized. Police said additional charges will also come because the bag sold to police was mostly fentanyl.
Cruz-Perez was released on $2,000 bail, while Belmarsh was released after posting $750 bail. Both were arraigned at Hingham District Court on Nov. 21. Cruz-Perez will return to court Jan. 3, and Belmarsh will return Dec. 5.
