Hopkinton Schools Top 25 In Greater Boston: Rankings

HOPKINTON, MA — Hopkinton students returned to school on Wednesday — and they can take comfort in knowing their school district is one of the best in the state. Boston Magazine ranked Hopkinton No. 25 on its list of Greater Boston public school districts. The rankings, released Sunday, was based on test scores, student-teacher ratios, class sizes, and graduation rates, among other factors.

Boston Magazine reported these statistics for Hopkinton schools:

• Enrollment: 3,462
• Average class size: 19.9
• Student-teacher ratio: 13 to 4
• Graduation rate: 98.4 percent
• Per-pupil spending: $13,535

Boston Magazine: Best Public School Districts in Boston 2017

Though Holliston schools did not crack the Top 25, they did come close at No. 33. Here's how the Holliston school district breaks down:

• Enrollment: 2,889
• Average class size: 17.7
• Student-teacher ratio: 13 to 8
• Graduation rate: 93.2 percent
• Per-pupil spending: $13,446

The Dover-Sherborn school district was ranked No. 1. This is the top 10:
