ā¢ $35M International Marathon Center in Hopkinton looks to boost Massachusetts' economy (bostonherald.com) ā Hopkinton is moving closer to building a $35 million International Marathon Center along Route 135 near the Boston Marathon start, a project local leaders say could reshape the townās economic future. With permitting expected to begin this spring and mostly private funding, the 25,000-square-foot complex aims to draw tens of thousands of visitors annually and anchor a new cultural district with local partners.
