• More Mass. police officers placed on leave over alleged Flock misuse (boston.com) — Hopkinton is shutting down and removing its Flock license plate reader cameras by Sept. 30 after a legal review found the town’s contract violated Massachusetts law. The move comes amid statewide scrutiny of Flock use, and officials say they’ll re-evaluate all police technology with an eye on privacy, transparency, and community concerns.
   

• Middlesex Sheriff's Office Celebrates Successful 25th Season of its Youth Public Safety Academy (hollistonreporter.com) — Hopkinton kids were among 513 cadets from across Middlesex County who joined the Middlesex Sheriff’s Youth Public Safety Academy this summer in Chelmsford. The free weeklong sessions introduced ages 8–12 to police, fire, and emergency careers through hands-on safety lessons, team challenges, and visits from partners like MassDOT, Eversource, and the State Police Air Wing.
