50 MPH Winds Could Knock Out Power in Lexington

Lexington weather alert: strong winds could tear tree limbs into power lines.

LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington will get pummeled with 50 mph winds Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory, calling for average winds of 20 mph and gusts as high as 50 mph Tuesday. The strong winds could tear tree limbs into power lines, possibly knocking out power, NWS said.

NWS also issued a dense fog advisory Monday through midnight, calling for visibility of less than a quarter-mile. It will likely make driving difficult Monday night, NWS said.

  • Monday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High of 61 degrees. 5-15 mph winds.
  • Tuesday: Showers possible. 20 mph winds, with gusts hitting 50 mph. High 49, low 35.
  • Wednesday: Sunny. High 45, low 34. 5 mph winds.
