The Capitol Steps: Lexington's Cary Hall to Host Political Satire Performance

The Capitol Steps group has been performing since 1981

LEXINGTON, MA—The presidential primary has given comedians, internet meme-makers and jokesters alike plenty of ammunition to provide political satire to the masses.

One such group, The Capitol Steps, will bring political satire to the Cary Memorial Hall in Lexington. The group, who has been performing since 1981, will take to the Cary Hall stage on April 3 at 3 p.m.

The group started with a group of Senate staffers who hoped to satirize their employers. They have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS and appear twice yearly on National Public Radio. They have recorded over 30 albums. The group digs into political headlines and create parodies and skits based on relevant topics.
