Ceremony for New Estabrook School Coming Up

The roughly $40 million project was completed earlier this month.

Officials next month will hold a dedication ceremony for the new Estabrook School.

Crews broke ground on the roughly $40 million project in 2012. The school opened in February of this year.

The dedication ceremony will be held Mon., Oct. 6 at 10:30 a.m.

The school is named after Captain Joseph Estabrook, who lived from 1669 to 1733. Estabrook was the first school teacher in Lexington. He was also a town clerk, selectman, representative to the general court, and captain of a local military company.
