Lexington Among America's Most Educated Communities

Website NerdWallet examined degree holders in communities with more than 25,000 residents across the country.

LEXINGTON, MA – Lexington has been ranked the tenth-most most educated community in America, according to a recent study from website NerdWallet.

The study examined data on education levels of residents over 25 in more than 17,000 cities and towns in the country with populations of at least 25,000.

Based on the U.S. Census Bureau's 2014 American Community Survey, NerdWallet found that 81 percent of Brookline residents hold at least a bachelor's or associate degree, 50 percent have at least a master's and 13 percent hold doctorates.
