Lexington To Host Public Works Day with Event for Kids

LEXINGTON - Public Works Day! Outdoor fun held on May 21 10am-2pm at 201 Bedford Street in Lexington.

A Selectmen’s proclamation was signed to observe National Public Works Week, May 17-23. This acknowledgement notes the dedicated efforts of the DPW in maintaining the health, safety and comfort of the citizens of Lexington.
To mark National Public Works Week, DPW is hosting its Annual DPW Day on Thursday, May 21, from10am to 2pm, at the Samuel Hadley Public Services Building at 201 Bedford Street. Fun activities geared for children are planned. Youngsters will have the opportunity to find “treasure” with metal detectors, meet the critters living in Lexington streams and ponds, explore the growth cycle of trees and of course, see the trucks and equipment up close! Light refreshments will be served.
