Lexington's New Town Manager Will Start Oct. 1
Jim Malloy comes to Lexington with 30 years of local government experience in three states.

LEXINGTON, MA – The Lexington Board of Selectmen last week completed its negotiations with the next town manager. James "Jim" Malloy will begin his tenure Monday, Oct. 1.
Malloy comes to Lexington with 30 years of local government management experience in Colorado, New York and Massachusetts. He's spent the last nine years as town manager of Westborough and served as the Sturbridge town manager from 1994-2009.
Malloy is married and has two adult sons. He holds a master's degree in public administration, is an International City/County Management Association (ICMA)-credentialed manager and served as the Northeast Vice President of the ICMA.

"I’m truly excited and honored to have been selected as Lexington’s fifth Town Manager," Malloy said in a statement. "I’m looking forward to working with the staff and getting involved in any outstanding issues and working with the Selectmen and others in the community on the Selectmen’s goals and priorities. I’m hoping the month of September passes quickly because I am excited for October 1."
