LHS Girls Lacrosse Falls to Winchester, 15-10
Minutemen can't keep pace with Sachems in Middlesex League shootout.

Seven different players etched their names on the score sheet for the girls’ lacrosse team on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to get the Minutemen past Winchester High School.
The visiting Sachems beat the Minutemen in a shootout, 15-10, in their Middlesex League showdown at Lincoln Field.
“We played a great first half, but started the second half a little slow,” Lexington coach Kerry Richmond said. “However, overall we played a strong game.”

Despite the 15 goals Winchester scored, Richmond praised the play of junior goalie Corey Michon and the defense. Michon made 11 saves in the game.
“The defense was very strong and the transition through the midfield was great,” Richmond said. “We need to continue to improve upon playing a consistent 50 minute game.”
Lexington will try to bounce back with another home game on Friday. The Minutemen will take on Belmont at 3:45 p.m. at Lincoln Field.
