UPDATED: LHS Hockey Teams Continue Waiting Game to Learn Tourney Pairings
Details need to be ironed out before Lexington boys, girls squads learn post-season fates.

The MIAA released seedings and pairings for the boys’ and girls’ sectional and state tournaments on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean the waiting is over for the teams.
Some details still need to be sorted out before both the Minutemen teams know exactly who, where, and in the case of the boys’ squad, when they’ll open the state tournament.
On the girls’ side, the Minutemen earned the No. 7 seed. Only No. 1 St. Mary’s of Lynn (19-0-3) and Middlesex League foe No. 2 Woburn (18-1-1) have the same amount or few losses than Lexington, which finished the regular season at 14-2-4.

The Minutemen will enjoy a Preliminary Round bye and take on an opponent to be determined at the John P. Chase Skating Facility on March 5. Lexington will take on the winner of No. 10 Watertown/Melrose and No. 23 Framingham High School.
Lexington’s boys squad also has to wait some more before they learn their postseason fate. The MIAA is waiting to release the North Division 1 sectional bracket until the Super 8 play-in games are in the books.
