Memorial Services for Star Athlete Pat Gill

He died in a car accident on Saturday.

The Winchester community has come together to remember Winchester High School senior Patrick Gill, who passed away early Saturday after his vehicle hit a tree off Manomet Road.

“The Gill family would like to thank their family, friends, and entire community for their love and support throughout this very difficult time. Patrick was a kind and loving boy, a wonderful son, brother and friend. We are truly overwhelmed and comforted by your friendship and compassion. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days, months, and years. Thank you.”

A wake is planned for Thursday and a funeral on Friday.

GILL, Patrick J. Jr. of Winchester suddenly on September 20, 2014. Beloved son of Susan M. (Cooney) and Patrick Gill Sr. Loving brother of his twin sister Erin and his younger brother Brendan. Grandson of Robert and Alice Gill and John and Mary Cooney. He was cherished by his aunts and uncles Robert and Renate Gill of Wareham, Mary Ellen Armstrong of Winchester, Chris and Amy Gill of Nashua, New Hampshire, Jay and Suzanne Gill of Winchester, Mary Cooney of Reading, Richard and Donna Dube of Turner, Maine, George Geary of Wareham, and the late Jack Cooney, Patricia Dube, Robert Cooney, and Linda Geary. Dear cousin of Shannon and Mike Maraschiello, Robert and Angie Gill, Joseph Gill, Caroline Gill, Timmy and Shanna Armstrong, Katie Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Christopher and Andrea Gill, Maryalice A. Gill, Peter Gill, Maryalice M. Gill, Kellyanne Gill, James Gill, Christine Dube, Dwan Dube, Tracy Dube, Shawn & Stephanie Rioux, Sarah and Joe Malvezzi, Sharyl Carrigan, Jackie Geary, and Adrienne Geary. Visiting hours will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St. WINCHESTER on Thursday September 25th from 3-8pm. A liturgical Wake service will be held in the church at 8pm. All are welcome to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Friday at 11am. Interment Wildwood Cemetery Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Patrick’s memory may be made to the Winchester Sports Foundation, PO Box 493, Winchester, MA 01890.
