Parent Teacher Conferences Still On In Lexington, Despite Storm

Lexington High School cautioned parents to allot extra time in their commute to the meetings.

LEXINGTON, MA — The first batch of wintry weather on Monday was no match for Lexington's determined schools to get kids and parents up to speed in the district. Lexington High School announced it will continue to hold parent/teacher conferences on Monday, despite the weather.

The school tweeted on Monday that parents should allot for extra time on their routes to the school so that they are able to make it to the meetings on time. While several schools across the state called their first snow day, Lexington let it's students sleep in, but didn't cancel school. The district was one of several to announce a two-hour delay.

Students, and maybe some teachers, may still hold out hope for a snow day on Tuesday. The second and third parts of the season's first storm are starting to hit the state and overnight, Bay Staters could see a foot of snow. Snow starting Monday night is expected to last into Tuesday morning, according to the forecast.
