Road Construction Once Again Delays Lexington School Bus Routes
It was another messy start to the work- and school-week, thanks to ongoing Massachusetts Avenue road work.

LEXINGTON, MA -- For the second time in three weeks, some Lexington Public Schools students had the start of their school week delayed by road construction. The district reported that Buses 1, 7 and 17 were stuck in traffic and running late, while Bus 14 didn't make it to its first stop until well after 7 am.
Buses using Mass. Ave. in the vicinity of Pleasant St. are delayed. Reports are that work on the rotary has traffic almost stopped.

On Monday, initial reports on social media the biggest delays along routes that served the Harrington and Bowman Elementary Schools. Initial reports suggest that Monday morning's delays were not as bad as October 10, when work on Massachusetts Avenue had almost all bus routes running behind schedule by at least 15-20 minutes.
