Sports Week in Review, Feb. 12 - Feb. 18

While the winter athletic season is winding down for countless teams across the state, that’s not the case for the Lexington High School girls’ basketball team.

The Minutemen entered the week needing to win two of its three remaining games to qualify for the MIAA sectional tournament. Well, LHS erased any doubt by winning all three, including the one against Belmont High School on Tuesday night. The victory .

On Monday, Patch caught up with LHS girls’ . She talked about what it was like to celebrate senior night and where she’ll be playing basketball next winter, among other topics.

On Wednesday night, the Lexington boys’ to mark its final home game of the season. However, despite sporting new purple and red threads to mark the occasion, Lexington couldn’t slow a Belmont squad preparing for the postseason.
