Sports Week in Review, Feb. 19 - Feb. 25
LHS indoor track team competes at Div. 1 state meet, while basketball, girls hockey close out the regular season.
The boys’ and girls’ indoor track and field teams kicked off the state tournament and championship season at the last weekend.
Held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, the LHS girls finished in a tie for 12th place, while the boys tied for 22nd.
The girls’ performance was highlighted by their relay teams, which were fifth in the 4x400 and sixth in the 4x800 event. For the boys, senior Matthew Hunter scored five of the boys’ team’s points by placing fourth in the 55-meter hurdles.

Last Friday night, the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams wound down their regular seasons with a double-header against Burlington High School. The 45-33 in the regular-season finale, to the rival Red Devils 74-66.
The Minuteman girls’ hockey team finished its regular season on Wednesday night. Lexington fought off a pesky Austin Prep team to win 2-1 on a high note.
