Superintendent Ash Stepping Down Next Year

Lexington Schools Superintendent Paul Ash announced he is leaving Lexington to work as a consultant with a national educational company on June 30, 2015.

Ash, who has been Lexington superintendent for almost nine years, announced the news at Tuesday’s School Committee meeting. He said he is leaving Lexington to take a position with The Leadership and Learning Center, “a large national educational consulting company,” reported The Boston Globe.

The School Committee had been negotiating a contract extension with Ash. The committee voted 3-2 to begin contract negotiations with the superintendent.
