Violent Crime Crime Rose 21% In Lexington Between 2015 And 2016, According To FBI Data
On a more positive note, the FBI said property crime was down 12% in Lexington between 2015 and 2016.

LEXINGTON, MA -- There were 23 reported violent crimes in Lexington last year, up from 19 in 2015, or 21.05%, according to uniform crime reporting data released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation last month. But the data also show a 12% decrease in property crime during the same time period.
The FBI has been collecting Uniform Crime Reporting data from law enforcement agencies across the United States since 1930. The data is used to gain offer a comparison from year to year and community to community in a wide range of violent and property crimes.
