Experience the sweeping drama of Beethoven’s Sonata, its three movements unfolding seamlessly attacca—from the poised energy of the Allegro Moderato through a searching Poco Adagio to a vibrant, dancing Rondo. Then dive into the electrifying world of West Side Story in a thrilling brass quintet suite, where iconic moments—from the charged Prologue to the soaring hope of “Somewhere”—burst to life with color, rhythm, and unmistakable Broadway flair.
This program also features, Second Rain, a chamber group collaborative with a bent towards folk and spirituals. Directed by Bob Eggers and Beth Harris. Rooted in folk traditions and spiritual song, Second Rain’s program weaves together timeless melodies and contemporary voices—from the quiet strength of Simple Faith to the uplifting spirit of We Shall Be Known.
