Initially approved at the October 2017 Town Meeting, the liquor license bill was filed on the town’s behalf by House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) and former Senator Thomas M. McGee (D-Lynn). Representative Jones worked closely with Senator McGee and his successor, Senator Brendan Crighton (D-Lynn), to secure the bill’s approval in the House and Senate.
“This bill represents an opportunity to draw new businesses into Lynnfield and to stimulate the local economy,” said Representative Jones. “I’m pleased the legislative delegation was able to help facilitate its passage.”
