• MassDOT Unveils Wrong-Way Crash Prevention Tech on Route 128 Amid Safety Push (rock929rocks.com) — A new wrong-way crash prevention system on Route 128 follows several deadly incidents, including a wrong-way collision in Lynnfield that killed State Trooper Kevin Trainor last spring. MassDOT is adding detection devices, brighter signs, and pavement markings between Peabody and Gloucester, with weekday construction and temporary shoulder closures expected as crews work to reduce dangerous wrong-way entries.
