Students were in their second of five semesters when classes shifted to all online, and hands-on clinical training was put on pause.
The program is one of many courses and trainings offered through NECC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education.
Tashjian first introduced free OER to the college back in 2014 with a textbook task force.

By taking four courses each semester, along with courses during the summer and winter intersession, students can graduate in two years.
In fall, when faculty, staff, and students return to campus, they will discover more flexibility as the result of enhanced online options.
Rodriguez took that as a sign, and enrolled in the brand new Culinary Arts Certificate program.

The NECC Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides support for the college and its students.
Beaudin himself is a first-generation college graduate. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Education from Iona College.

Bloise graduated from Northern Essex with high honors and is transferring to UMass Lowell to continue her studies in biology.
Grace decided to enroll at NECC for the Spring ’21 semester as a Human Services major.
