MALDEN, MA — A car became caught on top of a utility pole wire Thursday afternoon after a brake failure, according to a report from 7 News Boston.
Firefighters responded to the scene on Mt. Vernon Street at approximately 1 p.m. to find the silver Toyota Corolla off to the side of the road on its back wheels and its front half suspended in the air on top of the wire. The passenger was able to exit the vehicle and immediately went to help the driver, a woman, get out herself. No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, and Malden Fire Captain Eric Truesdale said the vehicle was in danger of rolling over.
The car was towed from the scene.
