New Director

The Board of Trustee’s of Mystic Valley Regional Charter School has hired a new Director, Mr.  Martin Trice, to lead the school.

“Mr. Trice brings more than 25 years of education experience at all levels to Mystic Valley including international experience and we believe this experience will provide the school with the ability to reach an even higher level of excellence in the coming years” Chairman Neil Kinnon said.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Mystic Valley school community. This school has accomplished much in a short period of time.  I come with a deep sense of responsibility to carry on the traditions that have made Mystic Valley one of our state’s and even nation’s finest schools.  I realize that I stand on the shoulders of those who have worked tirelessly to bring Mystic Valley where it is today and I will do everything in my power to ensure that the mission and charter of Mystic Valley are fulfilled at the highest levels.

“Mystic Valley is a remarkable school.  I say that not just because of Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report and other outlets which have consistently named us among the states and even nation’s finest schools.  As impressive as those assessments are, what is truly remarkable about Mystic Valley is how it has gone about achieving those results.  We say in our mission statement that we intend to provide students the opportunity of a world-class education.  We go on to describe three characteristics of the academic climate.

"What makes Mystic Valley remarkable is that the first characteristic we chose to list was “well-mannered”, followed by “disciplined” and “structured”. This speaks volumes about the school’s integrity.  When others are drawn to the sirens of numeric success, Mystic Valley holds in equally high regard the student’s character.  This fact places us in rare company among both public and private schools and I am proud to lead such a school into the future.”
