In celebration of AAPI heritage month, join Chinese Cultural Connection for a screening of the award-winning documentary Tyrus, which celebrates the life and legacy of renowned Chinese-American artist Tyrus Wong. Wong's masterful watercoloring was the blueprint for Disney's Bambi, and his work in storyboarding would become the basis of many film classics including Sands of Iwo Jima, Rebel Without a Cause, and The Wild Bunch.
Following the screening, a live Q&A will be held with the documentary's Emmy Award-winning director and executive producer Pamela Tom.
