Escape to the Library for History and Camaraderie
Malden Arts to sponsor quarterly Salon at the library on Wednesday.

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap lessons on Wednesday evening. It’s your time. Take it.
Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much-deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

When we think of taking a break from the trials and tribulations of daily life, it’s often to do something indulgent like pampering or treating ourselves.
Education is also a powerful way to feed the soul and obtain a sense of tranquility. Reading, looking at art and studying history will provide a great escape for you while expanding your horizons.

If your partner can stay home tomorrow, March 2, to keep an eye on the household, why not show up at the Malden Public Library from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to enjoy the Salon hosted by Malden Arts?
In conjunction with Malden Reads, the event will include a historical and architectural tour of the library. You’ll be able to see parts of the building designed by H.H. Richardson that are not often open to the public.
The Salon—designed to be a quarterly, open-ended forum or the arts—provides chances for discussion, camaraderie, networking and collaboration for those interested in furthering the arts in Malden.
The event is free and open to all who are interested. Refreshments will be served. Everyone will meet outside the Ryder Gallery.
