Malden Post Office Holding Passport Fair With Walk-In Service

Residents interested in acquiring or updating their passports can do so at the event.

MALDEN, MA — Residents looking to apply for a U.S. passport will have an extra window to do so on Saturday, April 18, when the Malden Post Office hosts a passport fair with walk-in service. Passport services will be available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post office on 109 Mountain Ave.

The event is intended to help travelers prepare for upcoming international trips by offering an extended chance to apply without an appointment. During the fair, customers can submit applications for a passport book or passport card, have their documents reviewed by trained staff, and use a streamlined application process.

Applicants must bring original documentation. Accepted proof of American citizenship includes a certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state, a previous U.S. passport, a certificate of citizenship, or a naturalization certificate. A hospital-issued birth certificate alone is not acceptable.

Customers are being asked to download the passport application online and complete it using black ink before the event. The application should not be signed in advance. All applicants must appear in person.
